Alicia Megia-Fernandez, obtained the BSc, MSc degree in Chemistry and PhD (2011) from the University of Granada, Spain, under the guidance of Prof. Santoyo-Gonzalez, where she was awarded the Extraordinary PhD Award in Experimental Science. This was followed by the award of Fundación Ramón Areces and Marie Curie IEF Fellowships to work as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Edinburgh with Prof Bradley. In 2022 she was appointed to "Maria Zambrano Senior" Research Fellow at the University of Granada and obtained I3 certificate for her distinguised Research activity. In 2024 she has been appointed to Senior Lecturer at the Organic Chemistry Department at the University of Granada. Her current research interests are in Chemical Biology and include chemical methodology and bioconjugation, drug delivery, and molecular probes for diagnosis and treatment.
